OUR STORY
1st Generation Family-Owned Business
THE PANDEMIC CAUSED US TO SLOW DOWN AND EVALUATE OUR LIFESTYLE. WE LOVED THE EXTRA TIME WE HAD AS A FAMILY. WE COMBINED OUR LOVE OF THE OUTDOORS AND BEING ACTIVE TO DABBLE AT GARDENING. WE WERE SURPRISED WHEN WE WEREN'T TOO BAD AT IT. ;) EVEN OUR DAUGHTER LOVED PLAYING IN THE DIRT AND SMELLING THE LAVENDER. OUR DREAM WAS BORN.
ABOUT MALOHN LAVENDER
Between the many creepy crawlers, literal dirt, and killing every indoor plant we ever had our hands on - no one, ourselves included, would have imagined Malohn Lavender a decade earlier. That's life. You travel, try new hobbies, reprioritize, solidify values, learn, and grow. ON A WARM BREEZY SUMMER DAY YOU WILL CATCH THE SCENT AND BEAUTY OF THE FIELD IN FULL BLOOM AND FEEL A RUSH OF CALMNESS AND PEACE, YOU WILL THEN UNDERSTAND WHY WE CHOSE LAVENDER.
We are so fortunate to have family that has supported our dream and allowed us to RENT LAND. First, we did soil samples to ensure the soil was adequate for lavender. Once we confirmed it was, we started with 40 English lavender plants of multiple varieties. We continue to add more plants every year. We are looking for the right property to make our permanent home and farm.
